Safety and Incident Reporting Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-10
Policy version: 2026-08-10
Safety is shared among Togetha, organizations, organizers, and volunteers.
Togetha's role
Togetha provides tools for discovery, signup, roster management, reporting, and service-record verification. Togetha does not usually operate or supervise the activity itself.
Organization responsibility
Organizations are responsible for site safety, supervision, role suitability, training, waivers, background checks where needed, required parent or guardian consent, accessibility processes, emergency procedures, and legal compliance for their opportunities.
Volunteer responsibility
Volunteers should read opportunity details, follow organizer instructions, use reasonable care, ask questions before participating, and report unsafe or misleading activities.
Reporting
Users may report unsafe opportunities, fake organizations, harassment, privacy issues, incorrect hours, minor-safety concerns, spam, scams, or other issues through Togetha's report form.
Emergency situations
Togetha's report form is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger, users should contact local emergency services first, then report the issue to Togetha when safe.
Admin response
Togetha admins may triage reports, contact users or organizations, hide content, pause organizations, suspend accounts, correct service records, or preserve records for investigation.
